Although Circuit City’s stores are still trying to push merchandise out of its doors before it closes up shop for good, its site has been down for over a week now.
But why throw away a sophisticated e-commerce set up that could help get rid of inventory? Has the chain underestimated the power of the Web? This news makes no sense to me.

I agree Sam, especially with the wonderful benefit they started years ago (before others did)- order online & just pick-up at the store!
I don't understand it either, the web is such a powerful tool how can they not utilize to get rid of all that extra inventory? As a Circuit City customer, I too would have liked to check out their site for the last remaining good deals out there! Oh well!
